These problems are reported by real players. If your region or ISP is listed, a network optimizer is likely to help.
South America
80-180ms to US East- No dedicated South American Fall Guys server region — players must connect to US East
- Brazil to US East typically 80–160ms depending on ISP routing
- Some Brazilian ISPs route internationally through Miami or New York adding latency hops
Middle East / Africa
100-250ms- No dedicated Middle East or Africa server region
- Players route to Europe 1 or Europe 2 with 80–200ms depending on location
- South Africa players have particularly high latency to all available regions

- Rubber-banding in crowd sections and near the starting platform
- Queues taking long to fill at off-peak hours due to lower player counts in 2025-2026
- In-game ping display (Alt+F6) is poorly documented — many players do not know it exists
- Cross-region matchmaking can occur when player count is low, increasing ping for some players
- Epic Games launcher required adds friction compared to native Steam experience
How to Fix It
Try these first — they're free and solve the problem for most people.
01 Check your ping using the in-game network overlay
1. Launch Fall Guys and get into a match 2. Press Alt+F6 to toggle the network stats overlay — this displays your ping and packet loss in real time 3. If Alt+F6 does not work on your setup, use Windows Resource Monitor instead: press Ctrl+Shift+Esc → Performance → Open Resource Monitor → Network tab → check FallGuys_client.exe → view Latency column in TCP Connections 4. Note your ping value — if it is consistently above 100ms, your server region setting may be suboptimal
Confirms whether your issue is network latency (high ping number) or FPS/hardware. Essential first diagnostic before trying any fix.
02 Set your server region to the closest option
1. Open Fall Guys and go to Settings (gear icon) 2. Navigate to General settings 3. Find 'Server Region' and change from 'Automatic' to your nearest region manually 4. US players: select US East or US West based on your coast 5. European players: select Europe 1 or Europe 2 6. Asian players: select Korea or Southeast Asia 7. Re-launch into a match and check ping via Resource Monitor
The single most impactful free fix. Choosing the wrong region automatically can add 100-200ms to your ping. Manual selection ensures you are consistently on your nearest cluster.
03 Switch to a wired Ethernet connection
1. Connect an Ethernet cable from your PC or laptop to your router 2. Open Windows Settings → Network & Internet → Wi-Fi → turn off Wi-Fi to ensure traffic routes through Ethernet 3. Re-launch Fall Guys and check ping via Resource Monitor 4. WiFi adds 5–30ms of random jitter — particularly harmful for Fall Guys' timing-sensitive platform sections
Eliminates WiFi jitter which is especially noticeable in Fall Guys crowd physics and close finishes. Wired connection provides stable, consistent latency.
04 Enable Epic Games quality of service settings
1. Open the Epic Games Launcher 2. Click your profile icon (top-right) → Settings 3. Under 'Manage Games', make sure Fall Guys has no download activity running 4. If you see a download in progress, pause it before playing — the launcher competes with the game for bandwidth 5. Disable automatic updates if you want full bandwidth during sessions: Settings → scroll down → toggle off automatic updates
Epic Games Launcher background downloads while playing are a common cause of in-game lag spikes. Disabling them ensures Fall Guys has full bandwidth during a session.
Regions with good connectivity
Players in these regions likely won't benefit much from a network optimizer.
- Western Europe — Two EU server clusters (EU1, EU2) provide good coverage. Most EU players achieve 15–50ms on the closest cluster.
- US East Coast — Primary NA region with highest player concentration. East Coast players typically 10–40ms.
- South Korea — Dedicated Korean server cluster. Korean players benefit from direct regional routing with very low latency.
