Does PingAim work with New World: Aeternum?
Yes. PingAim uses a WFP (Windows Filtering Platform) kernel driver to route NewWorld.exe traffic through the fastest available network path. This method does not inject into the game process, making it fully compatible with New World's Easy Anti-Cheat (EAC) system. EAC only blocks process-level modifications — network-level routing is undetected and permitted.
Will I get banned for using PingAim or a VPN in New World?
No. Amazon Games has never banned players for using network optimization tools or VPNs. Services like ExitLag and GearUp Booster officially support New World without any ban history. PingAim's WFP driver approach operates at the network stack level — it does not modify the game, inject code, or interact with the game process in any way that EAC monitors.
Why is my ping high in New World even on fast internet?
Internet speed and ping are different measurements. New World connects directly to Amazon AWS servers in Virginia (US East), Oregon (US West), Frankfurt (EU Central), Singapore (AP Southeast), or São Paulo (SA East). Your ISP's routing to these specific AWS datacenters determines your ping. If your ISP routes traffic through inefficient BGP paths — common with smaller regional ISPs and some large ones — your ping to AWS will be high regardless of your download speed. A tracert to 52.0.0.1 (AWS Virginia) will show exactly where the routing is inefficient.
How much does ping matter in New World Wars (50v50)?
A great deal. New World uses server-authoritative action combat, which means all hits, dodges, and blocks are validated on the server. At 30ms you have full combat precision. At 100ms you begin missing dodge windows. At 150ms+ you experience significant movement desync in Wars — opponents teleport, abilities land when they appear to have missed, and your own timing becomes unreliable. Wars have historically been disrupted by lag-exploiting players specifically because low-latency players have a fundamental mechanical advantage.
The game is shutting down in January 2027 — is optimizing my connection worth it?
For the remaining playtime, yes. If you're still playing Wars, PvP, or endgame content, a 20-50ms improvement in latency meaningfully improves your combat experience during that time. PingAim works for all other games on your PC simultaneously, so the benefit extends beyond New World.
My server was merged and now I'm on a server far from me. Can PingAim help?
Partially. PingAim can optimize your routing to whichever AWS region your merged server is in — for example, if you're a South American player now on a US East server, PingAim routes your traffic through the best available path to AWS us-east-1 (Virginia). It cannot overcome the fundamental physics of distance, but it can ensure you're on the fastest possible route, which may shave 20-50ms off the raw geographic baseline.
