MORDHAU FAQ — Ping, Servers, Network

Does PingAim work with MORDHAU? Why does MORDHAU feel laggy even with decent ping?

Fighting Triternion, 2019
Does PingAim work with MORDHAU?

Yes. MORDHAU uses Valve Anti-Cheat (VAC) with no kernel-level anti-cheat like EasyAntiCheat or BattlEye. PingAim's WFP kernel driver routes the Mordhau-Win64-Shipping.exe process through your chosen network interface without touching game memory — VAC has no reason to flag it. No conflicts have been reported.

Why does MORDHAU feel laggy even with decent ping?

MORDHAU's melee system relies on reading opponent animations within tight timing windows. When your ping is unstable — even if the average looks acceptable — jitter causes the animation timeline to shift unpredictably, making feints and morphs much harder to read. 60ms stable feels better than 40ms with 30ms jitter spikes. Switching to a more stable connection (like USB tethering on 5G) often helps more than a raw ping reduction.

What ping is needed for MORDHAU to play well?

Under 60ms provides a good experience where combat timing is reliable. 60–100ms is playable but skilled opponents will notice that certain chamber and feint timings feel 'off'. Above 100ms, animation desync becomes visible — attacks that visually miss will register as hits and vice versa. For competitive dueling, most players prefer servers under 50ms.

How do I check my ping in MORDHAU?

Press Tab during any match to open the scoreboard. Your ping is displayed in the rightmost column next to your name. Values update in real time — watch for spikes during combat rather than just checking once.

MORDHAU high ping fix — what actually works?

First, filter the server browser to servers under 80ms and always join the one closest to you geographically. Second, switch from WiFi to wired Ethernet or USB tethering to eliminate jitter. Third, close any background apps downloading or streaming data. If your ISP routes you inefficiently to the server, running a second connection via PingAim can reduce your path by routing through a different ISP or mobile network.

Does MORDHAU use EasyAntiCheat or BattlEye?

No. MORDHAU uses Valve Anti-Cheat (VAC) and server-side passive detection. There is no EasyAntiCheat or BattlEye. This means network tools like PingAim are fully compatible, and no special method bypass is needed.

PingAim detects MORDHAU automatically

No manual config. PingAim identifies MORDHAU by process name and routes it through your fastest connection using a kernel-level WFP driver.
