Does PingAim work with Last Epoch?
Yes. PingAim uses a WFP (Windows Filtering Platform) kernel driver to route Last Epoch's network traffic through a second connection — such as a 5G phone hotspot or a second network adapter. This operates at the Windows network stack level without injecting code into the game process, making it fully compatible with EasyAntiCheat. PingAim attaches to Last Epoch.exe and redirects its traffic through whichever interface has the lowest latency to EHG's servers. Because Last Epoch does not use Steam Datagram Relay, PingAim has direct visibility into the full routing path.
Why do I desync in Last Epoch even with a good ping?
Two reasons. First, jitter — the variation in your ping — is often more damaging than average ping. A connection that swings between 30ms and 120ms causes desync even though the average looks acceptable. Check if your ping spikes during gameplay, not just the baseline. Second, Last Epoch's servers have historically operated under high load, especially at season launches (1.0 in Feb 2024, Season 2 in April 2025 both had reported lag increases). Server-side overload causes desync regardless of your client-side connection quality. If your ping is stable but you still desync, it is a server capacity issue — not fixable client-side.
Does Last Epoch have lag compensation like other online games?
No confirmed lag compensation. EHG's official multiplayer FAQ describes a server-authoritative model with the goal of feeling responsive, but does not describe lag compensation or rollback. Community reports of desync at 42ms ping — where skills animate locally but effects apply late — are consistent with an authoritative model without lag compensation. This means stable, low-jitter ping matters more than a technically acceptable average ping.
Is Last Epoch's multiplayer co-op or competitive?
Co-op only — up to 4 players in a party. There is no PvP in Last Epoch. Parties share zones, experience, and item drops. The co-op experience is where network quality matters most: desync between party members causes skills to visually hit but deal no damage, shared boss fights to rubber-band, and loot to appear for one player but not another until the server reconciles. Lower latency benefits co-op sessions more than solo online play.
What server regions does Last Epoch have?
Last Epoch has 10 server regions: US East, US Central, US West, EU West, EU East, Asia Southeast (Singapore), Asia Northeast (Tokyo/Seoul), Australia Southeast (Sydney), Australia West (Perth), and South Africa (Johannesburg). You can select your region at the login screen via the globe icon, or in Settings → Gameplay. Always verify your region manually — at launch and after major patches, auto-selection has occasionally placed EU players on US servers.
Does Last Epoch work with VPNs and network optimization tools?
Yes. ExitLag, WTFast, and GearUP Booster all officially support Last Epoch, and their community guides report no issues with EasyAntiCheat. Network optimization tools that route at the OS level (like PingAim's WFP driver) have no known conflicts with EAC. The only EAC-incompatible approaches are DLL injection into the game process and unsigned kernel drivers — neither of which PingAim uses.
