Conan Exiles
Raid windows are timed. Building placements are server-authoritative. PingAim routes ConanSandbox.exe through whichever interface reaches the G-Portal server with the least jitter — so your breaching attempt lands instead of rubber-banding back.
Does PingAim Help in Conan Exiles?
More about BattlEyehow it works · what it blocks · known conflicts
BattlEye runs a kernel-level driver (BEService.sys) on Windows that monitors processes, memory, and injections. BattlEye is optional per-server in Conan Exiles — official Funcom servers have it enabled by default, while community server admins can disable it (common for heavily modded RP servers). Players can launch the game without BattlEye by using the -nobattleye launch option, but official servers require it. BattlEye has historically detected and blocked WinDivert-based tools in some games, though this varies by game-specific BattlEye configuration.
VPN and network optimizers
Network path optimization tools (WTFast, LagoFast, VPNs) are used by Conan Exiles players without bans. WTFast has an official Conan Exiles support page. Funcom has not taken enforcement action against network routing tools. BattlEye focuses on process injection and memory manipulation, not network path changes.
Known software conflicts
- BattlEye incompatible with some hardware-monitoring overlays (MSI Afterburner RTSS in some configurations) — unrelated to PingAim
- Linux/Proton compatibility limited due to BattlEye kernel driver — not relevant for Windows users

Why ping matters in Conan Exiles
Latency sensitivity HighPing noticeably shapes the experience.
Conan Exiles has no client-side prediction and no lag compensation. Every interaction — picking up items, opening inventory, placing buildings, swinging a weapon — requires a full round-trip to the server before the client shows the result. At 50ms this is imperceptible. At 150ms the delay is visible and annoying. At 200ms+, building placement fails, combat feels disconnected, and inventory interactions are unreliable. On PvP servers, the raid window creates a specific high-stakes scenario where your ping directly determines whether you can defend a base or breach an enemy's in the allotted time. Rubber-banding during PvP or large-scale base attacks is the most commonly reported server performance issue in the Conan Exiles community.
About Conan Exilesbackground, studio, esports scene
Conan Exiles is an open-world survival and base-building game developed and published by Funcom, set in the brutal world of Conan the Barbarian. Players begin as exiles in a vast, harsh desert and must survive by gathering resources, crafting weapons and armor, building fortresses, and — in multiplayer — forming clans to dominate rival players and NPC factions. The game supports up to 40 players on official servers and up to 70 on community servers (configurable). Official servers run PvP, PvE-Conflict, and PvE modes.
Conan Exiles is built on Unreal Engine 4 and uses UDP for all game state communication. The server architecture is dedicated-server authoritative, meaning the server holds the canonical game state for all building placement, inventory operations, combat hits, and player positions. Official servers are hosted and operated by G-Portal, Funcom's exclusive server partner since 2017. Anti-cheat is handled by BattlEye, which is optional per-server — official Funcom servers enforce it, while many community servers disable it for mod compatibility.
The game maintains a dedicated player base years after its 2018 full release, with around 89,000 monthly active players on Steam as of early 2026. The survival and base-building community is particularly active on community-managed servers with custom mods, rules, and RP scenarios. PvP servers feature scheduled raid windows, making latency during those windows critically important for defense and offense alike.

PingAim detects Conan Exiles automatically
No manual config. PingAim identifies Conan Exiles by process name and routes it through your fastest connection using a kernel-level WFP driver.
When does PingAim help — and when doesn't it?
PingAim helps when...
- During scheduled PvP raid windows where every interaction — door breaching, looting, combat — is time-critical
- Phone 5G tethering available — route Conan Exiles through mobile and free home connection for streaming and downloads
- Both WiFi and Ethernet connected — PingAim picks whichever interface reaches the G-Portal server with lower jitter
- Evening peak-hour congestion causes ping spikes during building or exploration on community servers
- Home network shared with household members streaming video or gaming on other devices
- Connecting to an EU or US server from a region with no local official servers (South America, Middle East)
- Rubber-banding when entering densely built areas where many structures trigger simultaneous server processing
Won't help when...
- Only one active network connection with no phone to tether — no second path exists
- Server-side lag from underpowered server hardware or too many players — no client fix can address server FPS drops
- Already below 50ms with stable jitter on your chosen server — further reduction provides minimal feel improvement in a survival game
- PvE-only players primarily building or crafting solo — latency tolerance is higher in PvE contexts
- FPS drops and stuttering — client-side performance, not network
- Playing on a dedicated community server hosted by a friend where you already have direct local routing
