Does PingAim work with World of Warships? What servers does World of Warships use?

Does PingAim work with World of Warships?

Yes. World of Warships uses Wargaming's own custom anti-cheat system, which does not block network-level tools like PingAim. PingAim routes WorldOfWarships.exe through a different network interface using a Windows kernel-level WFP driver — it does not modify the game, inject code, or interact with anti-cheat in any way. The game and Wargaming's terms allow the use of network optimizers.

What servers does World of Warships use?

World of Warships has three regional server clusters: North America (Chicago), Europe (Western Europe — datacenters in Amsterdam, Frankfurt, and Munich), and Asia (Tokyo, Japan, with a Singapore node). Accounts are region-locked at creation — you cannot play on a different region's server without a separate account or a paid transfer. Wargaming does not offer a public server status API, but server news is published on their regional websites.

Why is my ping so high in World of Warships?

High ping in World of Warships is most often caused by: playing on the wrong regional server (e.g. connecting to EU from North America adds 100–150ms), WiFi interference causing jitter spikes, your connection taking an inefficient route to Wargaming's datacenter, or evening network congestion on your home connection. Check your ping using the in-game display or WGCheck diagnostic tool, then run PingPlotter to identify which hop is causing delays.

How many server regions does World of Warships have?

World of Warships has three main regions: NA (North America, based in Chicago), EU (Europe, based in Munich), and Asia (based in Tokyo/Singapore). There was previously a separate RU server but Russian players were migrated to EU in 2022 following Wargaming's restructuring. Each region is entirely separate — accounts, progress, and ships do not carry over between them.

Does World of Warships use Easy Anti-Cheat?

No, World of Warships does not run Easy Anti-Cheat on player systems. Wargaming uses their own proprietary anti-cheat solution and has officially stated they plan to continue doing so. Their privacy policy mentions data-sharing with Epic (EAC's parent company), which led to community confusion, but community investigation confirmed EAC is not an active runtime component in the game.

Is World of Warships free to play?

Yes, World of Warships is completely free to download and play on Windows and macOS through either the Wargaming Game Center or Steam (App ID: 552990). The game uses a free-to-play model with premium ships, premium account time, and cosmetics available for purchase, but the full game including competitive modes is accessible without spending money.

PingAim detects World of Warships automatically

No manual config. PingAim identifies World of Warships by process name and routes it through your fastest connection using a kernel-level WFP driver.
