Does PingAim work with Tibia?
Yes. PingAim uses a WFP kernel driver to route Tibia.exe traffic through your chosen network interface. It does not inject DLLs or modify the game client, so BattlEye does not flag it. It works on all Tibia worlds including BattlEye-protected ones.
Why do I have high ping in Tibia even with a fast internet connection?
High ping in Tibia is almost always a routing problem — your ISP's network path to CipSoft's servers passes through too many hops or inefficient transit points. A fast connection doesn't guarantee good routing. If you have a second connection (phone 5G, second ISP, or both WiFi and Ethernet), PingAim can test which path has the lowest ping and route the game through it automatically.
What port does Tibia use?
Tibia uses TCP port 7171 for all game traffic. This is a fixed, well-known port that has been the same since the game's early days. If you are setting up a firewall rule or port forwarding, allow outbound TCP on port 7171. Some worlds may also use port 7172.
Why does Tibia lag during boss fights or large player events?
Tibia's game servers process all player actions server-side. During large events with dozens of players casting spells simultaneously, server processing load increases, which can temporarily spike your effective latency. This is a server-side cause that no client-side tool can fix. However, if the lag coincides with your own connection instability, a second connection via PingAim can prevent your session from dropping.
Can I play Tibia on EU servers from Brazil without too much lag?
Brazil to Europe is typically 180–220ms round-trip. Tibia's TCP-based architecture means this latency is felt directly — spell casts and movement responses feel delayed. CipSoft added dedicated South American servers precisely because of this. If you must play on EU (e.g., for a guild), PingAim can route via whichever of your available connections offers the lowest cross-Atlantic path.
