Does PingAim work with Minecraft?
Yes. PingAim works with both Minecraft Java Edition and Bedrock Edition. For Java Edition, PingAim detects the javaw.exe process running Minecraft and optimizes its TCP traffic at the kernel level. For Bedrock Edition (Minecraft.Windows.exe), it optimizes UDP/RakNet traffic. Minecraft has no client-side anti-cheat, so there are zero compatibility concerns.
Why is my Minecraft ping high even with fast internet?
Internet speed (bandwidth) and ping (latency) are completely different. Ping depends on the physical route your packets take between your PC and the Minecraft server. If your ISP routes traffic through inefficient paths — for example, sending US East traffic through a West Coast hub — your ping will be high regardless of your download speed. This is especially common when connecting to popular servers like Hypixel from outside North America.
What is a good ping for Minecraft PvP?
Below 50ms is excellent for competitive PvP. 50-100ms is playable but you will notice delayed hit registration and inconsistent knockback. Above 100ms significantly impacts PvP performance — hits feel late, combos break, and opponents with lower ping have a real advantage. For casual survival and building, up to 150ms is acceptable.
Why does Minecraft use TCP instead of UDP?
Minecraft Java Edition was designed with TCP from the beginning, likely because TCP handles reliability automatically — no need to build a custom reliability layer. The downside is that TCP suffers from head-of-line blocking: if one packet is lost, all subsequent packets are delayed until the lost one is retransmitted. This is why even small packet loss causes noticeable lag in Minecraft. Bedrock Edition fixed this by using RakNet (UDP-based) which handles reliability more efficiently.
Can I get banned for using a network optimizer with Minecraft?
No. Minecraft has no built-in anti-cheat system, and network optimization tools like PingAim, ExitLag, and WTFast are widely used without any bans. Server-side anti-cheat plugins (GrimAC, Vulcan, etc.) detect gameplay cheats, not network routing tools. PingAim operates at the Windows network stack level and does not modify the game client.

PingAim detects Minecraft automatically
No manual config. PingAim identifies Minecraft by process name and routes it through your fastest connection using a kernel-level WFP driver.
