Check Your Connection to Left 4 Dead 2 Servers
See how much latency your ISP routing adds
Detecting your location...
Estimates based on real-time measurement to nearest Cloudflare edge. Actual in-game ping may differ by ~15ms due to different routing to game servers. Your IP is sent to ip-api.com for city-level location — we don't store it.
How to check your actual ping in Left 4 Dead 2
Open console with ~ key, type: net_graph 1 — shows live ping, packet loss, and lerp in the bottom-right corner. Also visible on TAB scoreboard (rounded estimate). Bottom-right corner overlay when net_graph 1 is active — shows 'ping: 45ms' and other network stats. TAB scoreboard shows a simplified ping column.
Small text overlay in the bottom-right shows FPS, ping in milliseconds, svcloss (server to client loss), choke, and lerp. The 'ping' value is your current round-trip latency to the game server.
If your actual ping is higher than our estimate, your ISP is routing Left 4 Dead 2 traffic through a longer path than necessary. That gap is exactly what PingAim optimizes.
