How to check your actual ping in Insurgency: Sandstorm
Tab key (scoreboard) shows your ping. Server browser shows per-server ping before joining. Options menu may have network stats overlay depending on version. Scoreboard overlay (Tab) shows ping in milliseconds next to your name. Server browser lists ping for each server in the Ping column.
In the scoreboard (Tab), your ping is shown in the rightmost column in milliseconds. In the server browser, each row shows a Ping value — green numbers under 80ms, yellow for 80-150ms, red above 150ms.
If your actual ping is higher than our estimate, your ISP is routing Insurgency: Sandstorm traffic through a longer path than necessary. That gap is exactly what PingAim optimizes.
