Does PingAim work with Black Desert Online?
Yes. PingAim auto-detects BlackDesert64.exe and routes its traffic through your fastest network interface using a WFP kernel driver. It is compatible with XIGNCODE3 because the WFP driver operates at the Windows network stack level — it does not inject code into the game process, which is what Xigncode3 monitors.
Why do my grabs miss and iframes fail in BDO?
BDO's action combat relies on frame-precise timing validated server-side. With high or unstable ping, your input arrives at the server after the timing window has closed. At 100ms+ ping, grabs regularly miss visually landed targets and iframes fail against fast combo sequences. The game's ~25 Hz tick rate means delays are compounded at tick boundaries. Reducing your ping to a stable 40–60ms is the best mitigation available.
Can Node Wars lag be fixed?
Partially. Node Wars lag has two causes: server-side processing overload (Pearl Abyss servers are handling 100+ players simultaneously — no client optimization can fix this) and client-to-server routing latency (this IS fixable). PingAim addresses the second cause — optimizing your routing to the BDO server means you add as little delay as possible on top of the unavoidable server-side load.
What is a good ping for Black Desert Online PvP?
Under 50ms is optimal for competitive 1v1 and small-scale PvP — grab combos and iframes work reliably. 50–80ms is playable, with occasional timing inconsistencies. Above 100ms, grabs frequently miss, iframes become unreliable, and you will feel 'behind' opponents with lower ping. Above 150ms, action combat becomes difficult to compete in at high level.
Did Pearl Abyss move NA servers?
Yes. In May 2024, Pearl Abyss relocated the North American servers from San Jose (US West Coast) to Chicago, Illinois. The reason given was that 70% of NA players are on the East Coast and Central US, making Chicago a better geographic center. East Coast players gained roughly 20–40ms improvement. West Coast players saw a slight increase.
Can I use a VPN with Black Desert Online?
Pearl Abyss does not publish an explicit policy banning VPNs or network optimization tools. Network optimizer services (ExitLag, NoPing, LagoFast, Mudfish) all officially support BDO with no documented ban incidents attributable to routing optimization. PingAim routes traffic at the kernel level without modifying the game client.
