Season 3 introduces periodic challenges, team-up feature, goalkeeper passback rules, and defensive ability adjustments.

Progression & Social Features

Periodic Challenges (new)

  • Weekly and daily challenges now available
  • Complete periodic objectives to earn Battle Pass tokens
  • Repeatable challenge: Play 5 matches to earn 1 token
  • Daily challenge: Each day, complete a new challenge to earn 1 token
  • Weekly challenges: Each week, complete a new set of challenges to earn 2 or more tokens

Battle Pass Token System (changed)

  • Tokens can’t be earned by gaining XP anymore
  • The daily win bonus is no longer available

Team-up (new)

  • Can now request teammates to squad up directly at the end of a match
  • New squad will be created with the first player to ask for the team-up as leader

End-of-match screen (changed)

  • Reworked to condense progression information in a single summary page
  • The MVP can now also come from the losing team

Limited Time Mode (new)

  • 1v1 will be back during season 3
  • April 3rd to April 13th

Gameplay

Goalkeeper Passback (new)

  • Once goalkeepers catch a ball, they can’t catch it again until an opponent interacts with it
  • The ball is at the goalkeeper’s feet (ball in hand = safe, ball at feet = vulnerable)
  • A red circle is displayed at the feet of the goalkeeper

Standing Tackles (changed)

  • Reduction of standing tackle assist/redirection by 25%
  • Tackle hitboxes: hitbox around the feet is 10% larger
  • Tackle hitboxes: hitbox around the body reduced
  • Range slightly improved - 5%
  • Now has mirrored animations depending on ball location
  • Will no longer be triggered if defensive stance input is held

Defensive Stance (nerfed)

  • 8% hitbox size reduction both as an outfield and as GK hitboxes reduction

Dash (buffed)

  • Now goes slightly further (up to +15% speed)

Dribble Stamina (buffed)

  • Stamina cost reduction

Sprint Start (buffed)

  • Stamina cost reduction (specifically the cost of starting to sprint)

Vexis Dash (nerfed)

  • Some exploits allowing to magnetize the ball have been removed
  • Fixed an issue where controlling the ball right after a Dash would cause an extra forward movement

Extra Effort (changed)

  • New Extra Effort start animation makes triggering the ability in an input direction more reactive both with and without the ball

Sprint (changed)

  • Added new animations to make turning while sprinting in ball possession snappier

Volley Tap (changed)

  • Updated volley tap trajectory, for high height volley taps: the initial ball trajectory is more direct towards the ground and doesn’t make a small lob anymore
  • The power of those volleys has also been (very) slightly increased

  • Fixed an issue where user couldn’t perform any actions after refilling a Quick Match after a crash

  • Added game mode tutorial from Custom Match
  • Accepting a previously sent squad invite from an active squad member through the social panel no longer dissolves the squad
  • User is no longer removed from an active Match if they accept a Squad Invite after a Match Found prompt is shown in the Main Menu
  • News pop up is no longer triggered twice on fresh saves
  • Title no longer crashes upon closing the AR/Stadium purchase window inside the Customization Menu
  • Disabled Quick Match entry button on Main Menu if no game modes are available for Quick Match
  • Disabled Ranked Match entry button on Main Menu if no game modes are available for Ranked Match

Art / Rendering

  • Fixed rendering issues in thumbnails on the customization screens

Misc. Content

  • Matchmaking will restart automatically after a Voided or Cancelled Game
  • Fixed the click on background of popup to close popup
  • Fixed 1v1 field texture could appear in radar in classic mode
  • Fixed color (crowd and players) changing when captain leaving
  • Fixed an issue where seasonal ranked rewards would be granted but needed a game restart to be visible in the inventory
  • Fixed the issue where season-end stats are displayed only for ranked 5v5 mode instead of the most played ranked or other mode
  • Fixed an issue where changing certain languages caused career page stats to not display correctly
